Zone Conference Activity Day

Our recent zone conferences were a yearly fun day for recreation, good food, and the reconnecting of missionaries. We were able to borrow a grill locally and prepared steak and everything sandwiches for about 85 at each location. It was almost like cooking for our youth conferences and stake gatherings back home.

Elder Brunner still has his great softball skills. He just borrowed a younger set of legs to run the bases for him!

Our beautiful "sister" missionaries

The end of the day.
So much fun, so little time to play.

It looks like a fun time! What a great time for all the missionaries to hang out and play for awhile! They are so lucky to have you guys!

This is really random, but I am an old roommate of Heidi's from Ricks college. She and I haven't kept in touch over the years, but I keep up with Tiff and I often ask her about Heidi. I heard about Shaun from Tiff's blog, then I looked over at Heidi's. It's so sad and so tragic. I saw that Heidi had a link to her parents blog and curious to see if you had written anything about Shaun's death, I came to yours. I was surprised to see the title of your blog "Michigan Lansing Mission" because I have a brother serving there. Small world. As I scrolled down and found this post about zone conference, there was his picture in a pyramid of spanish elders. Crazy. His name is Anthony Butler. Anyway, I just had to comment. I'm not sure if you know him because he's been in the same area most of his mission, but he is a great kid and if you ever run into him, give him my love.

Thanks so much! It's great that we live in a small world sometimes! I'll try and check in on your blog from time to time now that I know you are serving in the same spot as my little brother. Thanks for checking in on him.
